Life After Racing – Confey

Confey ran twice for us under rules in early 2019 but didn’t show us that she was destined to be a racehorse so was retired at the age of 5. We knew of someone that would be willing to take her on to re-school and find her a new home so Confey went off to Laura’s lovely yard not too far away from us. Laura gave Confey the winter off to forget about racing then began working in the school with her and decided to keep her for herself to re-train for polo and has been teaching Confey to neck rein by riding her out in just a headcollar! Unfortunately, Laura suffered a broken ankle earlier this year so Confey’s polo training went on hold and she was turned out again. Laura is hoping to be back in the saddle very soon to continue Confey’s education and we look forward to seeing her out playing polo in the not too distant future! Thank you Laura for giving this beautiful mare a wonderful home. 😃
