Two runners for us today at Plumpton, both for the Seamus Mullins Racing Club. Kicking off with MARATT in the 3.20pm under Dan Sansom. Very winnable race for us here with only a few in with chances. He ran a nice race last time out here under the same conditions, that was his first run back from his summer break and he was beaten around 6 lengths. He will be a much better horse today and I think ridden closer to the pace, he may well end up in the winners enclosure. I think KRYSTAL HART is as good as he gets, BOYCHICK is probably the one to beat. We are progressing the right way which bodes well at this level. Personally I’ve had a bet on MARATT and will be very disappointed if we don’t pick up prize money.
Next we run INSPIREUS again for the SMRC in the 5.20pm under Kev Jones. Now I like this horse and I think he has a future. Top weight in a handicap tells you that he is the best horse in the race on official ratings. DOWHATYOUDODOBEST is in a handicap for the first time so warrants attention and SEA’S ARIA could go well in a couple of previous efforts. Again, another winnable race for us. I wouldn’t put anyone off having a bet on INSPIREUS either, the bookmakers price has drifted to 11/4 overnight and that is tempting me as it represents a bit of value.
