It is the old adage that a contented and friendly team atmosphere will produce happy and contented racehorses. We firmly believe in that formula here at WIlsford.
George Ezra is regularly hummed and often even quite vocally sung across the yard (Dan Sansom). So when the chance to see him perform at the superb venue that is Sandown Park racecourse after an afternoon of quality racing, the team took the opportunity. A beautiful Wednesday evening in the height of summer, coupled with the succesfull initiative racing has taken of late, staging music concerts and gigs after racing to engage a younger and/or increasingly varied crowd, proved for a great evening. Various staff members are a little hoarse this morning, and one or two yawns have been witnessed in the tack room first thing.
It is fantastic to watch a team develop such strong bonds that not only do they work all day together working to produce winners, but choose with no management influence to spend their hard earned spare time together socialising at the wonderful events made possible by British Racing.
